Crockpot SCE600-EF 6-Quart Oval-Shaped Manual Slow Cooker, White Review

Wow. After reading all the vehement reviews against this product, I feel compelled to report that I have had nothing but success with mine (bought it at Costco about 7 years ago.) I chose it because the ceramic bowl could be used as a serving dish for soups, stews, beans, etc. at our (large family) pot luck dinners. I use it frequently, especially during colder seasons. The lid fits perfectly, the ceramic oval container is large enough to accommodate a whole ham or turkey breast, and I like having the clear glass lid so I can keep an eye on the liquid without opening and letting heat out. I’m careful to adjust cooking times in relation to the volume of food in the pot. Rarely use the high setting for more than an hour, and only while I’m home. I handle it gently while cleaning (as one would any ceramic dish) and have not had any cracking. I don’t know if the batch Costco was selling was made by a better manufacturer than the ones at Walmart (wouldn’t be surprised), but I am very pleased with our 6 qt. Rival crock pot with removable ceramic serving dish. If you gamble on this one from Amazon (given these reviews), you know Amazon is great about replacement of faulty goods, so keep receipts, packaging, etc.
