Aroma 10-Cup Programmable Rice Cooker – ARC830TC Review
This is not just a plain rice cooker. It’s a powerful steamer with a good-sized basket, and has a “steam cook” setting. It’s got a non-stick basket, and the steam basket is a dishwasher safe plastic instead of dent-prone aluminum. Best of all, it’s got a brown rice setting! It’s probably overkill for people who don’t cook a lot of rice, it’s certainly more expensive than many other steamers – but I found it worth every penny.
The best thing about it in my cluttered life and kitchen is that it’s not a bunch of separate parts – everything tucks inside the main unit and away it goes!
I don’t really use the delay function, but for a family on the go, this could be a lifesaver. Oh, and like all rice cookers, it’s also an amazingly good way to make soups and stews.
